Leaded and Copper Foil Classes
Popular classes intended for those with little or no experience.
Class Dates & Fees
Classes consist of five 2 hour sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2.00pm until 4.00pm. The full set of lessons costs
Alternatively an all day Saturday workshop is possible. This runs from 10 am until 4pm with an hour for lunch/shopping/a nice walk at noon. This costs...
Content
Each class enables you to draw up a correct design and shows you the technique for either leaded glass or copper foiled glass. It includes how to cut glass and to understand how glass reacts under stress and how to polish and weather your masterpiece.
Tools and materials are provided by yourself for the weekday classes. I suggest you either beg, steel or borrow; alternatively you can buy all your needs from me at cost price. The Saturday workshop includes all tools except a glass cutter. Clear glass to practice on is provided FREE. Once you are accurate and have used lots of my free glass you can then decide whether you want to purchase coloured glass. If you want to make your masterpiece in clear glass it won’t cost you very much at all.
If you later decide this hobby is not for you, I will purchase any tools you bought from me at half the purchase price you paid - providing they are still useable. If it's any consolation I have never have any returned - so obviously it is addictive.
